Lagos State Finally Reveals Schools Resumption Date for 2020 Academic Session,, On August 3, 2020, the Lagos State Governor will open schools in primary six, junior secondary 3, and senior secondary school 3 for learners only.

The decision to open the Lagos schools on August 3 was taken by officials of the Lagos State Ministry of Education during a meeting held in Ikeja on Thursday with some stakeholders in the sector.
During the meeting, the Ministry ‘s Department of Quality Assurance ordered all schools, whether public or private, to fill in an online evaluation form, indicating their readiness to meet the requirements stipulated by the Federal Ministry of Education for reopening the school.
Speaking about the increase, the Lagos State Chairman of the National Association of Private School Proprietors, NAPPS, Chief Olawale Amusa, said his association had also set up a Quality Assurance Committee to go round schools and determine members’ readiness. He expressed hope that most of its representatives would meet the school reopening requirements.
