Just In: Gunrunner Arrested In Cross River State
Reports reaching us indicate that policemen in Cross River State have nabbed a suspected gunrunner.
This man is a 52-year-old man whose name was given as Cyprian Mbe. He was reportedly arrested after the police were made aware that he is an alleged armed supplier.
He is said to have promoted native wars in some parts of the state. Confirming the news, the State Commissioner of Police, Abdulkadir Jimoh said;
“During a stop and search by the Etung Divisional Patrol team, one Cyprian Mbe, a native of Bashia Village in Boki LGA was intercepted with 299 live cartridges concealed in a black bag. He is a suspected gun runner and promoter of native war
We are still investigating to get more information about his dealings and he would be charged to court immediately we conclude.”
