Gunmen who had not yet been captured reportedly killed an officer of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps in Kaduna State.
According to a report verified to the newsmen in a statement issued by the NSCDC on Tuesday, 8 September, Mr. Bulus Sanda was abducted from his residence in Mararaba-Rido, Chikun State Local Government Area.
The NSCDC Commander, Babangida Dutsinma, through the Public Relations Officer of the Security Agency, Mr. Orndiir Terzungwe, told newsmen in Kaduna that the deceased had been abducted from his apartment.
Terzungwe noted that Sanda had joined the corps in 2010 and had served in various locations, adding that he had been committed to his duty in an exemplary manner.
“The last location was Kaduna-North Division. He even received an award a day before he was abducted and eventually died, “he said.
The commander regretted the death of the officer, as he committed to his family, and prayed to God to grant them the strength to bear the loss of their beloved.
However, he urged residents to support the activities of security agencies in the state to ensure the safety of life and property.
