Edo 2020: Oshiomhole Threatened My Life – Wife Of Deputy Governor

Mrs Maryann Shaibu, Wife of Edo State Deputy Governor, accused the former Chairman of the All Progressives Congress ( APC), Adams Oshiomhole, of threatening her life.

The indictment was made in a petition dated 8 September addressed to the Edo State Police Commissioner through her lawyer, Idemudia Ilueminosen & Co.

In a petition entitled “Threat to Life,” Ms. Shaibu said that Oshiomhole had cast aspersions on her and threatened to deal with her at a rally in Etsako West Local Government Area of Edo.

According to the petition, “We are further informed by our client that Oshiomole has not only threatened to deal with her, but has also stated that he has sent some of the gangsters to monitor her movements in Etsako West with a view to threatening to deal with her.

“It is on this note that we are passionately appealing to you, on behalf of our client, to use your good offices to investigate this incident.

“Investigation is also needed with a view to bringing the said Comrade Adams Oshiomole and his cohorts to book in order to prevent any unpleasant and unforeseen harm coming to our client, especially as the Edo State Government elections are on the corner; precisely on 19 September, 2020.

Reacting to the petition, Victor Oshioke, Media Aid to Oshiomole, dismissed the allegation.

He claimed that the former president of the APC was focused on marketing the APC governorship candidate and could under no circumstances be distracted by Mrs. Shaibu.

“This petition is nothing but a futile attempt to divert the attention of Nigerians from the trendy video of Maryann Shaibu threatening to float women old enough to be her mother if they dare to exercise their fundamental human rights to attend any event other than the one she is organizing,” he said.
