Coronavirus: 18449 Cases Confirmed As Lagos Covid-19 Cases Hits 205
Prof. Akin Abayomi, Commissioner for Health at Lagos, said that COVID-19 related deaths have risen to 205.
Speaking on Friday, Abayomi said that 33 new infections were confirmed from the most recent 806 COVID-19 studies.
According to the government official of Lagos, the total number of reported cases in the state is now 18,449.
The number of studies since the start of the pandemic has been 90,476.
He said that 398 active cases in the communities have yet to be admitted to the COVID-19 care centres.
“2.402 of the confirmed cases have since been discharged from # COVID-19 Treatment Centers after complete recovery,” Abayomi tweeted.
“The 15,380 cases tracked by the Lagos Response Team in the communities have either completely recovered or reacted positively to treatment.
“64 of the cases are actually located in public and private treatment centres,” the official said.
Top Gist Portal reports that the Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) confirmed 197 new cases of Coronavirus infection in Nigeria on Thursday.
New cases of COVID-19 infection have been confirmed by an official Twitter release from the Health Department.
This takes the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Nigeria to 55,829, including 43,810 cases discharged and 1,075 deaths.
Below is the breakdown of the latest cases according to states with Plateau State recording the highest number of new confirmed cases, followed by Lagos.
