NPower Records That 5M Nigerians Register for 400,000 Batch C NPower Registration in the past 16 Days…Hajiya Sadiya Umar Farouq, Nigeria ‘s Minister for Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, provided an update on the number of applications the N-Power portal has received so far.
Top Gist Portal recalls the federal government opened the recruitment site for incoming Batch C beneficiaries on Friday, June 26, 2020.
The government had previously disclosed that as Batch C beneficiaries of the N-Power scheme, only 400,000 candidates will be taken out of the pool of applicants.
Giving an update of her verified Twitter handle in a tweet on Sunday, July 12, Hajia Farouq announced that the site received 4.48 million applications from Nigerians in just 16 days.

Meanwhile the government has noted that the new batch of beneficiaries will not remain in the scheme for up to two years as part of efforts to reposition the scheme.

he N-Power scheme is a social investment scheme that President Muhammadu Buhari launched in 2016 as a two-year initiative for graduate and non-graduate Nigerians aged 18-35.
For the duration of their stay in the scheme, beneficiaries enjoy N30, 000 monthly stipends and devices in exchange for services offered including teaching, agricultural extension services , health, etc.
